Rapidrunner Expeditions was established by Nepali/British, husband and wife team, Raja and Tessa Lama.

Raja has over 17 years experience of guiding expeditions on Nepali Rivers and wanted to establish his own company to share his passion and love of the river with visitors to Nepal. He prides himself on his excellent customer care and aims to ‘raise the bar’ for Nepalese rafting companies by providing service, instruction and safety at internationally approved levels. Along with Rapidrunner Expeditions, Raja has also established Rapidrunner Equipment, a pioneering company which manufactures river rafts, accessories and equipment in Nepal, employing local skill to make  high quality products specifically designed for the demanding Himalayan environment.

Tessa first came to Nepal in 1999 and fell in love at first sight with the stunning mountain and river environments, the culture and the Nepalese people (especially Raja!). Over the years she has built up an in depth knowledge of Nepal and the activities and experiences that tourists seek.

She is usually found in our shop on Lakeside, giving advice and information to visitors.
